No, with Care Bag , you avoid to block-up the bedpan-washer, and many publications showed that no bedpan-washer is 100% efficient to decontaminate dirty bedpans, but are 100% efficient if the bedpan is contaminated but not dirty.

Is Care Bag elimination ecological?
Polyethylen incineration doesn’t produce chlorine, only water and CO2, so absolutely ecological.

I like Care Bag , but can’t I use a common waste bag in the bedpan?

I don’t want to modify the uses of my staff and to have the obligation to recuperate the full Care Bag immediately after use :

It’s too expensive!
As any new disposable, it’s an new cost, but :
1-A blocked-up bedpan-washer = 1000 Care Bag
2-A nosocomial infection = 10000 Care Bag

It’s a good product, but if I generalize the system, the cost will be enormous !
Don’t generalize it, but at least try it for isolation services, oncology, radio, orthopaedics, dialysis, blood diseases.
